I adhere to GDPR by ensuring:

Your information will not be shared with anyone or any organisation without your explicit written consent, unless there is:

• An immediate risk of harm to yourself or others

• A serious criminal activity

• A legal requirement to report, such as terrorism, drug money laundering, child protection

• I am subpoenaed by a court of law

• I am required by professional standards to have professional monthly supervision.

No identifiable information about you (other than first name) is shared with my supervisor, who is held by the same privacy, data protection and confidentiality clauses as described here and in my contract.

I may keep some brief notes of your sessions. Notes are kept in a locked cabinet or on a password protected secure computer in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). My professional insurance requires that all records are kept for 5 years after which time they will be destroyed.

Electronic information stored on an email client will be deleted within 3 months of ending our work together.

The rights you have under data protection law are:

To access your personal data and to have an explanation of your personal data held

To request correction or erasure, or in certain circumstances to request limiting or ceasing data processing
