Frequently asked / often wondered

  • Integrative therapy is a approach that brings together different therapeutic techniques to support your overall well-being - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Common issues brought to therapy include anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, sex issues, life transitions and challenges relating to identity. This is by no means an exhaustive list!

  • When you work with me, you’ll find that I bring a warm, open-minded, and compassionate approach to our sessions. I genuinely care about your well-being, and I want you to feel heard, respected, and understood. My goal is to make sure you know that your thoughts and feelings truly matter.

In our time together, I focus on getting to know your inner world - your thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences. I believe that everyone is unique, and I’m here to explore what makes you who you are. By understanding you deeply, I can offer the kind of support that best fits your needs

I also pay close attention to how you fit into the bigger picture of your life - your family, work, community, and society. I think about how these different areas influence your feelings and behaviours. Together, we’ll explore how these outside factors connect with what’s going on inside you, so you can make meaningful changes in your life.

Therapy with me is a team effort. I’m here to work with you, respecting your choices while offering guidance along the way. Our sessions are a safe space for you to share and explore, where we’ll work on identifying patterns, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and finding new ways to interact with the world around you.

I’m dedicated to helping you not just with immediate challenges, but also in building long-term growth and resilience. By understanding both your inner world and the systems around you, I want to help you develop the tools you need to thrive in all areas of your life.

      That’s all!

  • My fee is £65 for a 50 minute session and payments are made in advance.

I accept payment by BACS transfer and payment can be on a session by session, bi-weekly, four-weekly or monthly basis.

  • Yes. I offer a free of charge, no-strings introduction. This is phone or video call for up-to 15 minutes, providing you with the opportunity to ask any questions and get a feel for things before making any decision.

You can book this here: https://calendly.com/corysbook/discovery

  • The first session will at least partly involve getting to understand what brings you to therapy, your challenges, your history, your social and family environment. These are important factors that help me to understand the context surrounding the issues that you are facing.

  • Sessions are usually weekly; some clients prefer a fortnightly arrangement. Therapy tends to work best when we commit to regular timeslot.

I understand that life doesn't always make that possible and there is the possibility of a more flexible, session-by-session arrangement. This does mean that no slot will be reserved for you - each session booking would be subject to availability.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, please let me know at least 48 hours before our session time.

Cancellation within 48-24 hours notice is charged at 50%

Cancellation with under 24 hours notice is charged at 100% of the session fee.

  • My therapy room is on the 3rd floor with many stairs. Unfortunately there is no lift or escalator available.

  • You are welcome and you will be welcomed! Wherever you are in your journey, come on in.

  • I have taken the decision to work with over-18s only.

  • Our sessions will be for an open-ended duration and as such, there is no set length of time or number of sessions.

Most clients tend to stay for anything between 6 months to years. For longer term attendance, we will check-in periodically to discuss how things are progressing and to ensure that our sessions are still useful to you.

I have also worked with clients on a time-limited basis.
